More families than ever are seeking lodging at RMHC InNW’s current 22-room House. On average, 14 families a day are turned away and placed on a waiting list. Ten-year historic data reveals up to 336 families turned away and 5,110 nights lodging shortage annually.
In 2018, after strategic planning, site exploration and community input, we broke ground on our big dream: a second House right across the street!
The project adds 34 additional guest rooms to the original 22 room house on fifth, allowing for an additional 12,140 nights of lodging per year. The house expansion more than doubles the size of the original building, adding new spaces including kitchens for the families, laundry facilities, movie room, teen room, multiple child play areas, and ten large long-term family guest suites.
