MITCH WILLIAMS

DIRECTOR / PRODUCER

Prior to co-founding Inland Film Co in 2018, Mitch spent close to a decade in the software and mobile app development industry - working with some of the world’s largest brands. Operating creatively in product marketing and management roles, he has worked with brands like Coca-Cola, Disney, Pixar, Myspace, and more. Mitch has a Bachelor’s in Humanities from Whitworth University, where he spent his time studying theology, leadership, graphic design, film (his first love), and screenwriting. Mitch believes it’s important to learn about, invest in, and empathize with the problems people, communities and businesses face, in order to be fully equipped to tell their story.

It seems as though I was born with a curiosity of the melancholy: from being unintentionally named after a strange live cremation poem set in the snowy Yukon gold rush; to my fond memories photographing foggy northwest trout rivers with my late grandmother... life has followed a poetic path of serendipity and story. 

A beautifully bearded artist named Cubby handed me a Canon camera and a cappuccino, offering me conversation. I’ve never looked back; studying black and white film processes, studio photography and documentary filmmaking; growing a wedding and portrait photography business, and eventually partnering with my brother-in-law to form a documentary and commercial film company. I’ve dedicated my life to enjoying every moment I’m given on this earth, and documenting the beautiful people I’m surrounded by. Life is complicated and harmonious; messy and poetic... we can process these stories through cinema.
